John O'boyle
John learned to play the Highland Pipes with the City of Hull Pipe Band whilst waiting for his Scottish Small Pipes to be delivered and he took to them like a duck to water. He went on to be Pipe Major for the Combined Ex-servicemens Association, The St Andrews Society and was piper for the Lord Mayor of Hull!
He has won awards for the playing of his Scottish Small Pipes and Border Pipes. He also plays guitar and whistle and is learning to play the fiddle. In some circles he is known as the "Hairy Piper" but can't understand why!
He joined The Kingstown Scottish Pipe Band in 2010 and loves it!'
