Welcome t the Kingstown Scottish Pipe Band web site
We are based in North East but travel across the UK to perform at various venues that you may wish us to attend.
The Kingstown Scottish Pipe Band is made up of pipers and drummers. Originally a traditional marching pipe band, we introduced the use of backing tapes so we would appeal to a wider audience. The backing tapes are produced by the pipe major himself on his keyboards.
The band plays all types of music from the traditional Scottish expected from a pipe band to sing along, ballads, country and rock and roll, meaning that people of all ages can enjoy our music.
Our lively compare/singer Dave ensures full audience participation. In previous years we have had successful evenings full of fun at holiday camps, working men’s clubs, pubs and wedding receptions.
